How we gathered
the world's largest collection
of forged Salvador Dali signatures

- social networking (for art) in the 1980s -

We gave people packets of blank business cards and asked them to get others to "forge" Salvador Dali's signature (and to print or write their real name on the back of the card) and to return these signed cards to us for inclusion in our collection. As token of our appreciation for participating in this project, everyone who gave us a "forged" Salvador Dali signature was given a small piece of paper explaining the purpose of this project. We continued to collect forged signatures at both of our exhibitions. The paper below was handed out in conjunction with the Galeries Fokus exhibition in Montreal (so one side was in French and one side in English).
