Cinderella's Attic and Heidi Lichtenstein have been Detroit "institutions" for nearly 30 years. Heidi runs a clothes reselling business that caters to hip, alternative youth culture and has worked with everyone in the music business from the B-52s to Eminem. She probably knows more about fashions and trends on the street--and creative cultural recycling--than anyone we've ever met.

Cinderella's Attic has been off the Detroit streets and on eBay for several years but recently returned with a new store in Birmingham. Today's event, "our First Art Show," was staged as an alternative to Birmingham's annual upscale Fine Art Show.
